MaqC is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and field builder with two decades of innovative transdisciplinary mastery in adolescent and youth development, social behavior change, sexual and reproductive health, gender and human rights advocacy. Applying design and systems practice, he has been leading and unlocking the power and potential of teams and communities throughout his illustrious career. He is the founding director of HCDExchange who led the relaunch and strategy and secured the team capacity, community infrastructure, learning thought leadership, network and visibility. He has held various regional positions at the
Children’s Investment Fund Foundation,
UNICEF and
LVCT Health. Through
Development Dynamics, a Pan-African social enterprise he leads, he has been consulting on design research, policy communications and advocacy, program and investment design for the International AIDS Society, World Health Organization, Population Reference Bureau, USAID, and AMREF Health Africa. He is currently leading an innovative grant delivering quality education, health and financial preparedness outcomes in Africa and the Middle East. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Policy from Lund University, Sweden and an MA in communication and development from the University of South Africa, Pretoria.
