
Edem is the Communications Specialist at HCDExchange responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy that serves our learning agenda, community engagement, and field-building work in HCD+ASRH. She is also the creator of Booksie, a pan-African children’s bookshop and literacy center based in Accra, Ghana.
Edem has previously served as a Communications Teaching Fellow at Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) in Accra where she co-designed and delivered a curriculum focused on the art of professional communications. She also prepared budding software entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to investors.
Edem was on the Founding Team at African Leadership University (ALU), a university on a mission to develop the next generation of African leaders. At ALU, she managed social media and several digital marketing efforts.
She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a major in Economics and a minor in Journalism in 2013.
