Anne LaFond is the Senior Advisor to HCDExchange and Director of the Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (CHIME). She has been involved with global health monitoring, evaluation, and learning for 30 years to maximize the use of evidence to mitigate health challenges for people in low-income settings. Anne was the senior advisor for the Innovations for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Initiative, and principal investigator for the African Routine Information System Essentials. Anne is a member of the board of advisors for the Design for Health community of practice; collaborates on MeasureD, a guide to integrate measurement and social design; and teaches monitoring and evaluation approaches to design students. She has a BA in Comparative Government and Arab studies from Georgetown University and an MSc in Community Health for Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
